Stratford Town complete double swoop for Claudio Dias and Chris Cox
STRATFORD Town manager Darren Byfield has bolstered his squad for the new season with the signings of midfielder Claudio Dias and defender Chris Cox.
Ex-Northampton Town youth teamer Dias has moved to Knights Lane from Spartan South Midlands League Potton United.
The 23-year-old made a big impression at Potton after joining the Bedfordshire club in February.
"He has a touch of class about him and is so comfortable on the ball," said his former boss, Steve Kuhne, in March.
"He’s made a real difference to us and hopefully will continue to do so. He’s often head and shoulders above anybody on the pitch.”
Centre-back Cox has joined from Midland League Premier Division outfit Coventry United, where he was the club's captain.
Cox, described as a "born leader" by his former club, is no stranger to finding the net, scoring a staggering 53 goals in 175 appearances.
