Stratford Town keep hold of key man Will Grocott

STRATFORD Town have won the battle to keep Will Grocott at Knights Lane.

The midfielder has ended weeks of speculation after agreeing a deal to remain at Town next season.

Grocott received a number of offers from other clubs, but the former Kettering Town man was happy to commit to a third season at Town in what he sees as a fresh start under new boss Darren Byfield.

“Despite receiving a number of generous offers from other clubs my heart is at Stratford,” he said.

“I have grown very attached to the club and the supporters and it's been a big part of my life for the last two years.

“I'm thrilled to be a part of Darren's plans and see it as a fresh start.

”I'm excited for all of the players that have stayed on and for the new arrivals as we enter the new league, I can't wait for the season to start.”
