Stratford's Megan selected in GB squad for Rio
STRATFORD cyclist Megan Giglia is among the 11 riders and four pilots who will compete for medals at this summer's Paralympic Games.
The 31-year-old, who won two golds at the 2016 Para-cycling Track World Championships, will make her Paralympic debut at the Rio Games, which run from 7th September to 18th September.
The team also includes Dame Sarah Storey – already Britain’s most decorated female Paralympian - who will compete at her seventh Paralympic Games in up to four events.
Storey will be aiming to retain the four titles she won at London 2012.
“It is fantastic to be able to announce such a strong cycling team for Rio 2016,” said Penny Briscoe, Chef de Mission for ParalympicsGB.
“These riders have won plenty of medals on the international stage since London 2012 and I have confidence that they will do the same this summer.
“I look forward to an exciting and competitive 10 days of competition on the track and road in Rio.”
