Stratford's relegation confirmed with Coventry & NW defeat
STRATFORD will play in Birmingham Premier League Division Three next season after relegation was confirmed on Saturday.
The Panthers had to beat Coventry & NW to stand any chance of avoiding the drop, but they suffered a three-wicket defeat at Binley Road.
David Bailey hit 58 for Stratford, but Coventry's Jonathan Miles finished on 4-14 as the visitors were dismissed for 158.
Miles (60) also played the lead role with the bat for Coventry as he and Jack Horsley put together a third-wicket partnership of 110.
The loss of three more wickets for six runs looked promising for Stratford but they were unable to make any further inroads to put Oswestry’s place in the division in jeopardy.
Perry Derrick (4-33) bowled well for Stratford, but to no avail.
