IT was a case of third time lucky for Stratford AC member Neil Wicks at the Wyre Wizard Trail Half Marathon on Sunday.
The Wyre Wizard is one of the toughest trail halves in the country, taking in all of the Wyre Forest’s best features.
After two second places this year in a 15k New Year’s Day race at Croome and the Fladbury Festive 5 on 6th January, Wicks managed to go one better in the Wizard, winning the race in 1.35.21.
His time was a comfortable 96 seconds ahead of the second-placed runner. A total of 131 runners completed the race.
