Town aim to seal survival with victory at Frome
STRATFORD Town know victory over Frome Town on Saturday will guarantee their Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division status for next season.
With relegation rivals Paulton Rovers losing on Tuesday night, three points at the Blindmans Brewery Stadium this weekend would now see Town mathematically safe in their maiden season at this level.
Realistically, even a point would be enough with rivals Paulton and Bideford holding vastly-inferior goal differences to that of Stratford’s.
Adams will be relieved when the moment finally arrives and says the club will then be able to reflect on the club’s “biggest achievement” in the past four years.
“It will be nice to get over the line,” said the Town boss.
“Then we can look back and say that keeping us in this league is our biggest achievement in the last four years.
“When you look at Paulton, they’ve come up and then gone down, Bedworth have come up and gone down.
“We were favourites to be relegated with the bookmakers — everybody thought we were going to get relegated. “But we’ve proved them wrong and with five games to go we’re looking alright.”
