STRATFORD Town manager Carl Adams is refusing to get carried away despite his team’s unbeaten start to their pre-season campaign.

Town have drawn games against higher-league opposition in Kidderminster Harriers and Worcester City, before following it up with thrashings of Evesham United (7-3) and Coleshill Town (4-1).

The results and performances have been extremely encouraging ahead of Town’s new Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division campaign, but Adams is refusing to get too excited.

He said: “Coleshill was another really pleasing perfomance. It was also good that the goals were shared around and I was particularly pleased with our passing.

“But we must not forget it’s still only a pre-season game. We must not get carried away.”

Stratford take on Stourbridge on Saturday at the DCS before another home match against National League new boys Solihull Moors on Tuesday night.
