STRATFORD Town striker Edwin Ahenkorah has been cleared to start Saturday's FA Trophy clash with Grantham Town at the DCS Stadium.

After missing Town's last two games through injury, key man Ahenkorah has been given the green light by manager Carl Adams to face the Northern League Premier Division side.

Town will be without the services of the suspended Barry Fitzharris and on-loan Donnell Benjamin. Parent club Solihull Moors do not want the teenage midfielder to be cup tied.

"It'll be interesting to see how we far against a team in a similar position to us in a parallel league," said Adams.

"Grantham are a well established in the Northern Premier Division and I've heard good things about them.

"I expect nothing other than a tough game in a competition I would like us to have a run in."

Town would pocket £2,700 in prize money if they beat Grantham and progress to the second qualifying round.
