Town's next two games are vital, says Adams

CARL Adams says it’s vital Stratford Town win their next two home games if they are to avoid being dragged into relegation trouble.

Following last weekend’s thumping 5-2 victory over St Neots, Adams is hoping his side can make it a hat-trick at the DCS Stadium with wins over strugglers Hayes and Yeading United and Kings Langley.

Another six points would see Town lift themselves to comfortable mid-table status, but a couple of defeats could leave Stratford in a spot of bother ahead of a tough Boxing Day clash at Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division leaders Leamington.

“We need to win these two games,” said Adams.

“After this, we have some very tough away matches at Leamington, Hitchin and then Weymouth, so we have to get something from the next two.

“The best thing for us at the moment, is the bottom four teams don’t seem to be doing much.

“We’re still hopeful this will be a very successful year for us. If we finish in 15th and get to a semi-final or maybe even a final in one of the cups then that would certainly be the case.”
