Vann and Williams ready for returns
DAN Vann could be in line to make his first start of the season when Stratford Town travel to Biggleswade Town in the Southern League Premier Central on Saturday.
The defender has been out of action since the end of the last campaign but made a ten-minute cameo appearance late on in the Bards’ FA Trophy match at Barwell on Saturday.
That game also saw Charlie Williams come off the bench at half-time and he could be another in line for a first start. The pair have been gaining match fitness playing for FC Stratford.
The Bards were unbeaten throughout September, drawing three and winning their other two league games, so boss Gavin Hurren will be hoping to see his side return to form following their cup exit.
Studley manager Mike Fowler will be keen for a repeat showing when his team goes to Northwich Victoria in the MFL Premier Division. They ended Northwich 1874’s unbeaten start last weekend and another win could hoist the Bees up into the play-off places.
In Division Two, Earlswood Town travel to AFC Solihull but there are home games for Hellenic League Division One pair FC Stratford (against Bewdley Town) and Southam United (v Abingdon United).
Undefeated Herefordshire Premier League leaders Alcester Town are at Clee Hill United and Shipston Excelsior host Longford Park in the Oxfordshire League.
