Weatherhead tops standings after Aston Magna win

BRETT Weatherhead and Andy Bruce claimed wins at Shipston AC and ADDAC’s second round joint pools match at Aston Magna and Clifford Chambers.
Weatherhead claimed victory at Aston Magna with 38lb 8oz, well ahead of second-placed John Walkden (10lb 2oz) and third-placed Graham Finch (8lb 4oz).
After securing two wins from two matches, Weatherhead now tops the league with 18 points. John Walkden is third with 15 points.
At Clifford Chambers, Bruce’s big net of carp, weighing in at 53lb 9oz, handed him 16 points and second place in the standings.
Pete Wedgebrow weighed in with 20lbs 0oz for second place on the day, while Neil Schumann was third with 19lbs 4oz.
