Weekend football round-up
FC STRATFORD put up a good fight before going down 3-2 at Midland League Division Three runaway leaders NKF Burbage.
Burbage, who finished the match with nine men, went into a 3-0 lead before Stratford hit back with late goals from the prolific Steve Boyce and Martin Kendashki.
Alcester Town suffered a shock 3-1 defeat at the hands of struggling Coventrians at Holbrooks Lane.
The game was as good as over at half-time, with Danny Janes' side trailing 3-0. Alcester scored a second-half consolation through defender Chris Hill.
Shipston Excelsior dropped down to third after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Enville Athletic at London Road.
Steve Hedderman's side went ahead through Martin Tomes, but an own goal on the hour saw Enville claim a point.
In Midland League Division One, Toby Checketts, Wade Malley and Terence Morton all netted as Racing Club Warwick claimed a 3-1 win over Uttoxeter Town at Townsend Meadow.
Gareth Evans struck five times as Studley thrashed Southam United 6-1 at Banbury Road, while Daniel Carter netted the only goal of the game as Littleton beat Stafford Town 1-0.
In Midland League Division Two, Earlswood Town secured only their third league win of the campaign following a 2-1 home success over Barnt Green Spartak. Justin Best and Nicholas Cox got the goals for Earls.
