SHIPSTON Excelsior moved up to third in Midland League Division Three following an impressive 5-2 victory over Moors Academy on Saturday.

After losing 8-3 to Moors in September, Steve Hedderman's side secured revenge in spectacular style at London Road.

Lewis Fathers struck twice, with singles coming from Joe Godson, Jake Harris and Jason Beasley. Montel Okoro and Joshua Parsons replied for Moors.

A second-half strike from Keiran Downey earned a depleted Alcester Town a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Barton United.

FC Stratford progressed in the Les James Challenge Cup following a 4-3 victory over Coton Green at the DCS Stadium.

Teenager Freddy Murphy bagged a brace, with other goals coming from Karol Skiba and Jay Tilbury.

In Midland League Division One, Racing Club Warwick came out on top in a seven-goal thriller at Heath Hayes.

The Racers hit back from 2-0 down to win 4-3 courtesy of strikes from Wade Malley (2), Lucky Nwosu and Martin Slevin.

Winless Southam United remain bottom following a 2-1 home defeat to Uttoxeter Town at Banbury Road.

The Saints led 1-0 at half-time through a goal from James Keller, but the visitors claimed all three points with second-half strikes from Oliver Ritchie and Louis Sherwin.

Studley let a 2-1 half-time lead slip as they went down 4-2 at home to Coventry Copsewood. Jack McGinn and Andrew Nicol netted in vain for the Bees, who slip down to 18th.

Kyonn Evans scored the only goal of the game as Littleton saw off Stafford Town at Pebworth Road.

Earlswood Town returned to the bottom of Midland League Division Two following a 2-0 home defeat to Bloxwich Town.
