SHIPSTON Excelsior moved up to fifth in Midland League Division Three with a 3-2 victory at Castle Vale Town on Saturday.
Wil Beach struck twice and Chris Mills got the other as Steve Hedderman's side bounced back from their 8-3 Challenge Vase loss at Moors Academy.
A lacklustre Alcester Town slumped to a 3-0 defeat to Inkberrow at Sands Road. Goals from Callum Cook, Nathan Davies and Callum Davies sent Alcester to their fourth league defeat of the campaign.
FC Stratford also suffered a disappointing defeat, losing 4-0 at home to high-flying Montpellier at the DCS Stadium.
Both Alcester and FC Stratford have an immediate chance to bounce back when the sides face each other in a league clash at the DCS on Tuesday night.
In Midland League Division One, Southam United's poor start to the season continued as they were thrashed 6-0 by Heath Hayes at Banbury Road.
Joe Hartshorne helped himself to a hat-trick, with singles coming from Oliver Hayward, James Russell and Rhys Horton.
Studley also lost 6-0, at home to Leicester Road, while Littleton were beaten 3-0 by top-of-the-table Lichfield City.
There was better news for Racing Club Warwick, as Jake Brown's strike earned them a point in a 1-1 draw with Nuneaton Griff.
In Midland League Division Two, Daniel Carter bagged a hat-trick as Earlswood Town were swept aside, going down 3-0 at home to second-placed Paget Rangers.
