Collaborating in real style

LAST October the Shipston Town Band held a very successful autumn concert when they were joined by the Jaguar Land Rover Band.

The concert proved such a success that when Jaguar Land Rover enquired as to whether Shipston would like to repeat the event this year they were only too pleased to accept.

The resulting concert duly takes place this Saturday, 15th October, in the Townsend Hall, at 7.30pm.

The Jaguar Land Rover Band, conducted by Dave Lea, were placed second in the prestigious Grand Shield with their performance of Distant Memories by Edward Gregson out of a field of 18 bands.

This qualified them to take part in the British Open at Symphony Hall in Birmingham against the very best bands in the country.

Entry is free, with a retiring collection.
