The Castalian Quartet and pianist Daniel Lebhardt play the final concert of the Stratford Chamber Music Society this Sunday at the Shakespeare Institute at 7.30pm.

Winner of the First Prize at the 2015 Lyon International Chamber Music Competition, the Castalian String Quartet is fast becoming a favourite with audiences for its ‘richly romantic energy and passion’ (Strad Magazine).

Formed in 2011, the Castalian Quartet studied with Oliver Wille (Kuss Quartet) at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media, graduating with a Master’s. They were selected by Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) in 2016 and in 2018 won a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship Award.

They are joined with another YCAT artist, Hungarian pianist Daniel Lebhardt. He has impressed audiences and critics alike with his thoughtful interpretations and outstanding virtuosity.

The evening will feature works by Haydn, Schumann, and Brahms. Tickets available on the door.
