Playbox Theatre’s annual end-of-summer Musical Theatre Festival this year brings a familiar and very loved show to The Dream Factory, Disney’s Beauty & the Beast J, from 9 to 18 September.

Featuring a cast of over 50 young artists from across the entire region, Disney’s musical focusses on the power of change, growth and learning in everyone’s lives told through a song-filled show with lively and memorable hits like Be Our Guest as well as many others.

Belle is the captive of an arrogant Prince, who has been transformed into a beast. Can she convince him that there is beauty in everyone and he has the power to change?

Belle is played by 18-year-old Priya Edwards from Solihull with Beast played by Joe Lydick and the ever loved Lumiere by Cameron Walker. Other major roles are taken by Hayden Coward, Cameron Scriven, Tom Codd, Alex Cottriall and Martha Markham.

Playbox Theatre open the 2016-17 30 Birthday Season with a perfect musical to end the holidays, appealing to all ages. An enchanted evening with a big Broadway musical.
