Names down for 7th Campden Lit Fest

THE seventh Chipping Campden Literature Festival gets under way on Tuesday, 3rd May.

Highlights include Prue Leith talking about her latest book, The Food of Love, at the Three Ways House, Mickleton, on the opening night; various writing workshops, including one held at Batsford Arboretum; Princess Michael of Kent discusses with Damian Thompson the third volume of her Anjou trilogy, Quicksilver, on Wednesday, 4th May.

On Saturday, 7th May, the festival marks the 400 years since William Shakespeare’s death.

Renowned theatre critic, Michael Billington of the Guardian, will be discussing his fascinating book The 101 Greatest Plays, while Stanley Wells and Paul Edmondson, of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, discuss their co-edited book, The Shakespeare Circle, which gives insight into Richard Burbage, Ben Jonson and Thomas Middleton, and little-known, but relevant lives to Shakespeare’s are brought to the fore.
