PUPILS at Bridgetown School in Stratford-upon-Avon rocked the audience with their performance of Shakespeare Rocks!

The production by year four pupils tells the story of Aubrey, The Rough Shakespeare Company’s pretentious director, who obtains what appears to be William Shakespeare’s lost diary.

Along with Al, his down-to-earth assistant, the pair decide to embark on an exclusive adaption of the Bard’s personal journal.

The children’s musical was perfectly timed to coincide with Shakespeare’s anniversary events around the town last weekend.

Bridgetown deputy head teacher, Lisa Pinkerton, said: “The show was a wonderful, comical reflection on the life of Will.

"The children and staff worked incredibly hard and parents, children and staff were extremely proud of their outstanding acting and singing skills.”
