What’s on in October - Celebrating apples with free family events in Chipping Campden

A FREE family event celebrating the apple harvest will be taking place in Chipping Campden.

Taking place on Saturday, 26th October, from 11am to 3pm the event is being run by Wolds End Orchard in collaboration with neighbouring charity, Campden Home Nursing, at the orchard and at Jecca’s House in Aston Road. It will feature games, live entertainment, children’s art activities and, of course, plenty of apple-related events such as an apple crisping session and an interactive longest peel competition.

Refreshments will include home-baked apple cakes and bakes, made with apples from the orchard and Jecca’s House, along with tea and coffee.

Freshly pressed apple juice from the orchard will be available to buy as will honey from hives at Wolds End Orchard.

“Our doors will be open to the community, offering an opportunity to learn more about the support we give to people facing serious illness, end-of-life care, and bereavement,” said Campden Home Nursing CEO, Helen Makaritis. “We also offer carer support and children’s play therapy. Our mission is simple: to be there for you when you need us most.”
