What’s on in Stratford - Fun Palace makes a return to town with variety of free events

FREE fun activities for people of all ages will be offer in Stratford on Saturday, 5th October, as the Fun Palace movement makes a return to town.

The annual, national event, which is marking its 10th anniversary, is a chance to join in, share your skills and try something new – from Bollywood dance, beating a drum, singing or creating graffiti art to exploring a fire engine and more.

Events, which will be happening throughout the day alongside stalls with crafts, activities and information, will be at the Crowne Plaza hotel (10am-2pm) and Stratford library (10am-3pm), where there will be school choirs, a drop-in singing workshop for adults and children and a community Shakespeare reading of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Events are being run by Stratford Town Trust, Warwickshire Libraries and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust where people can take part in a creative writing workshop with writer Lucy Parrott. They can also try their hand at quill writing.

A town trust spokesperson said: “It’s about Stratford coming together, sharing our skills, and learning something new. It’s about the things we enjoy doing together and making our community shine.”
